What programs is the ESAT required for?
You need to take the Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT) if you are applying for:
- Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology
- Engineering
- Natural Sciences
- Veterinary Medicine
What is in the ESAT and what are the requirements?
Here’s a breakdown of the ESAT requirements based on the course you are applying to at Cambridge:
1. Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Natural Sciences, Veterinary Medicine:
- Mathematics 1
- Two additional assessments from: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics 2
- Total duration: 120 minutes
2. Engineering:
- Mathematics 1
- Physics
- Mathematics 2
The ESAT does not have a pass or fail grade; aim for the highest score possible.
What dates is the ESAT?
Students will take the test on 15 or 16 October 2024. You must take the test in this first sitting. You should make sure to register for the ESAT by 16 September 2024 as well.
