I hold a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and tutor students preparing for TARA and admissions prep, alongside GCSE and A-Level work in essay-based subjects. Tutoring Experience

I’ve supported students with Oxford-style admissions preparation, including critical thinking, written responses and wider application work. My background in PPE means I’m very used to teaching students who are strong academically but need help turning that into better timed performance. I’ve also worked with GCSE and A-Level students in Philosophy, Politics and related humanities subjects, and plenty of timed practice in lessons, so I’m comfortable teaching both exam content and admissions skills.

Tutoring Approach

For TARA, I usually start by looking at how a student thinks before I try to change anything. We work on reading closely, spotting weak reasoning, comparing answer choices properly and planning concise written responses. I use timed drills, worked examples and targeted review rather than vague theory. I also set short homework on the question types causing most trouble. After each lesson, I give direct feedback and short stretch tasks so students keep improving between sessions without wasting time.
