Tutoring Experience

My six years of experience tutoring IB and IGCSE Economics have enabled me to understand the unique needs and challenges of each student. I have taught over 200 hours of classes to students from different backgrounds, helping them improve their understanding of complex economic concepts, refine their essay writing skills, and perform better in examinations. Many of my students have witnessed significant improvement in their grades, thanks to the individualized strategies I develop for their learning.

In addition to tutoring, I have also worked as an assistant teacher at a renowned international school in Hong Kong. My role involved assisting the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons in Economics. My broad teaching experience, combined with my commitment to helping each student excel, makes me an excellent tutor for students in need of extra support.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is based on understanding the specific needs and learning style of each student. I start by assessing their current knowledge and the areas they struggle with. In teaching Economics, I focus on helping students understand the real-world implications of the theories they learn, as I believe this enhances their understanding and interest in the subject.

For exam preparation, I make use of past papers and mock tests to improve the student's application skills and timing. I provide constructive feedback on their work and track their progress over time. Moreover, I provide assistance with Internal Assessments by giving feedback on their drafts or helping generate new ideas if required. The idea is to help the student produce work that is well-structured, analytical, and argumentative.

My ultimate goal is to ensure that every student I tutor gains the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their Economics exams and develops a lasting interest in the subject.
