I’m a qualified Mathematics teacher with QTS and a PGCE, and I currently lead Mathematics in IB and Cambridge schools. I teach IB Maths AA SL/HL and AI SL/HL, along with A-Level Maths, IGCSE Maths and GCSE Maths. Most of my students come to me when they need someone who knows the syllabus well and can explain things clearly without overcomplicating them.

Tutoring Experience

My background is mainly in secondary maths teaching and academic leadership, with day-to-day work across both IB and Cambridge pathways. I’ve taught Higher and Standard Level IB classes, supported students through internal assessments and exam preparation, and worked with a wide range of ability levels. I also teach A-Level, IGCSE and GCSE Maths, so I’m very used to switching between exam styles and helping students adjust to what each course actually expects.

Tutoring Approach

I usually start with a diagnostic session so I can see exactly where the gaps are. From there, lessons are tailored quite closely to the student rather than taught in a generic order. I use a lot of active recall and spaced repetition, especially for topics students think they know but cannot yet use confidently in exam questions. The aim is to fix weak spots properly, then build up speed, accuracy and consistency over time. I also work on exam technique, so students can apply methods timely in papers.
