Tutoring Experience
For nearly a decade, I've been tutoring students in IB Mathematics, amassing over 1,000 hours of one-on-one sessions. I've worked with a diverse range of students, from those striving for perfect scores to those who find the subject challenging.
Through my tutoring, I've helped students improve their grades and confidence in Mathematics, preparing them not only for exams but also for future studies and careers. My students have gained admission to top universities worldwide and achieved accolades in various Maths competitions. I've also delivered group lectures and seminars, sharing tips and strategies for exam success.
My experience extends beyond the UK, having tutored students from across Europe and Asia. Feedback from students and parents often highlights my ability to simplify complex concepts, build students' confidence, and instill a genuine love for Mathematics. Additionally, I teach SAT, helping students excel in their exams and achieve their academic goals.
Tutoring Approach
I believe that Mathematics is best learned through problem-solving, hence my tutoring approach heavily leans on this principle. I begin with an assessment of the student's current understanding and tailor my teaching strategy accordingly.
I focus on the practical applications of mathematical concepts, aiming to make learning more relatable and enjoyable. We'll work together on numerous problems during each session, with me guiding the student to discover solutions on their own.
I'm a firm believer in 'learning by doing', hence, I encourage students to take the lead in solving problems, only stepping in when necessary. Regular assessments are an integral part of my tutoring approach, allowing me to track the student's progress and adjust my teaching methods when needed.
My goal is to cultivate a deep understanding of the subject and to build the student's confidence, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to excel not only in their exams but also in their future endeavours in Mathematics.
