Tutoring Experience

I am a professional in higher education with diverse experience across various industries.

I'm passionate about academia, aiming to seamlessly combine teaching and research while engaging with the public in fields like work psychology, human resource management, and business. I started with an undergraduate degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, graduating with honors. Subsequently, I earned a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and am currently in the final stages of my PhD in Human Resource and Organizational Behavior at the University of Glasgow.

In academia, I'm a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and have received recognition as an Achiever of Excellence in Teaching (AFRET). I've also been honored with the Adam Smith Business School Excellence Award for excellence in both research and teaching for two consecutive years. Beyond academia, I hold certifications in Agile HR and Senior Certified Professional with SHRM. With over 15 years of HR and leadership experience in various sectors, including higher education, energy, banking, and more, I've worked with organizations like Citibank, Manulife Financial, and Nokia.

My journey includes roles at Adam Smith Business School, the University of Glasgow, and Glasgow International College, Kaplan Inc., where I've held positions such as Lecturer, Course Coordinator, Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA), and Tutor.

I've also contributed as a Course Designer and Reviewer for courses and have engaged with a diverse student body, teaching and coordinating courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Tutoring Approach

I strongly believe in Active Learning, Blended Learning, and Problem-based Learning. These methods involve active participation, technology use, and real-world problem-solving. I think students learn best when they're actively engaged and encouraged to think critically.

Active Learning means students actively take part in discussions and activities, improving their understanding and thinking skills. Blended Learning combines in-person teaching with online resources for convenience and interaction.

Problem-based Learning challenges students to solve real-world problems, enhancing their comprehension, teamwork, and communication.

By using these methods, I create a dynamic and student-focused learning experience, aiming to empower students to excel academically and develop a lifelong love for learning. Active Learning, Blended Learning, and Problem-based Learning form the foundation of my teaching approach.
