Tutoring Experience

As a secondary teacher and an IB examiner for more than 15 years in various international curricula, I found that my teaching passion has only grown with every year. Even with the complexities of the current international education landscape, the feeling of getting through to that student who “wasn’t getting the hang of it” or helping advanced students achieve their goals never gets old. I have dedicated my career to helping students of all levels master their language skills and concepts they need to go on to college and everyday life beyond academics

With over 12 years of tutoring experience worldwide, I have dedicated the last decade to online IB/AP English and German tutoring. I've successfully prepared numerous IBDP students for their final exams in Language A and B, guiding them as an examiner through essential practical skills necessary for achieving their desired grades.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes equipping students with a distinctive skillset that extends beyond the conventional classroom experience. Drawing on decades of language teaching, I've developed my own materials tailored to excel in English and German exams, specifically focusing on Paper 1, Paper 2, and oral assessments (IOs).

In my 12 years of work as a private in-person and online IB tutor, I've prepared over 300 students for their IB exams, with an impressive 96% achieving scores of 6 and 7. My unique mentoring and advisory approach ensures students receive practical skills vital for success in their examinations.
