Tutoring Experience

Since 2022, I have supported students with IB Biology SL and HL, Chemistry SL and Maths AA SL, helping them understand difficult content and apply it in exam questions. I also teach English A SL and History SL, with a focus on close analysis, argument, evidence and timed essays. My experience across contrasting subjects has taught me to switch methods carefully: diagrams and problem sets for science and maths, then planning, quotation analysis and structured writing for humanities.

Tutoring Approach

My method changes with the subject. In Biology and Chemistry, I clarify the concept first, then use data-based and exam-style questions to test precise scientific language. Maths AA lessons move from a worked example to independent problem-solving. For English A and History, we plan arguments, select evidence and practise writing under time limits. I revisit weaker topics regularly and use marking criteria so students know exactly how their work will be assessed and what to improve next.
