Hi, I’m Ayesha, an experienced tutor for IB Biology and Chemistry at both SL and HL, as well as SAT Maths. I achieved 7s in IB Biology and IB Chemistry and have supported IB students for several years through structured revision, past paper practice and IA guidance. I particularly enjoy teaching genetics, energetics and equilibrium, and I focus strongly on data-based questions and markscheme language so students understand exactly how to secure top marks in their exams.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught IB Biology and Chemistry students across SL and HL for the past four years, running small group sessions and one-to-one lessons. Much of my work centres on past paper practice, data-based questions and IA feedback. For SAT Maths, I support students with algebra, functions and problem solving under timed conditions. I’m familiar with common exam pitfalls and help students refine technique as well as content knowledge. Students leave sessions clearer, more prepared, and exam ready.

Tutoring Approach

My sessions are structured but flexible. I usually begin by identifying gaps in understanding, then work through concepts step by step using examples from the IB syllabus. We spend time on exam technique, command terms and essay planning so students know how to apply what they learn. I encourage discussion and questions, aiming to create lessons that feel focused, practical and supportive. If needed, I’ll set small tasks between lessons to keep progress consistent and measurable over time.
