I’m a UCL Mathematics graduate with more than 400 hours of tutoring experience across GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Maths, as well as TMUA preparation. I enjoy showing students the reasoning behind a method rather than asking them to memorise steps. My lessons give students space to ask questions, work through mistakes and develop the confidence to tackle difficult problems.

Tutoring Experience

I began tutoring Maths voluntarily before moving into professional tuition with private students and small groups. I have taught GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Maths, helping students strengthen core topics, improve exam technique and work towards higher grades. I have also supported TMUA preparation through advanced problem-solving and timed practice. During a Department for Education Mathematics internship, I planned lessons and led enrichment sessions for students preparing for university admissions tests.

Tutoring Approach

Lessons are planned around the student’s current level, syllabus and reason for seeking support, whether that is learning a topic from scratch, improving exam technique or preparing for TMUA. I model each method clearly, then use scaffolded questions before asking students to work independently. I create targeted resources and may set quizzes, topic tests or mock papers to check progress. Results are reviewed regularly so future lessons focus on the areas that will make the greatest difference.
