Tutoring Experience

For 15 years, I’ve taught Mathematics at an IB World School, where I developed and expanded the IB Maths curriculum, particularly the Standard Level course. Trained in both AA and AI courses, I’ve tutored over 100 students in IB Math HL, SL, and related exams.

As an IB examiner for the past five years, I leverage my assessment knowledge to guide students in achieving top results. My honours degree in Mathematics, with specialisations in Statistics and Optimization, complements my expertise. I emphasise revisiting foundational concepts to build a strong mathematical framework and have maintained long-term relationships with students, guiding many through their academic journeys until graduation.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is tailored to IB Maths, starting with an introductory consultation to assess the student’s current progress and access to resources. Lessons are customised to their syllabus, with a focus on both AA and AI courses. I provide targeted practice questions, mock exams from my exam bank, and clear benchmarks to track progress. Each session incorporates conceptual clarity, topic revision, and problem-solving tailored to the IB Maths framework. By aligning questions with student interests and using engaging teaching methods, I ensure sessions are productive and motivating. My aim is to help students not only succeed in exams but also build confidence in their mathematical reasoning.
