I’m Diti, a Cambridge tutor specialising in TARA prep for Oxford and other competitive UK applications. My background in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics means I’m especially comfortable teaching the parts of the test that involve critical thinking, problem solving and clear written responses. I mainly work with students applying for PPE, Economics and related courses, and I keep lessons sharp, practical and closely tied to the paper itself.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught students preparing for TARA alongside wider Oxbridge admissions support, including interview work and application guidance. My teaching has focused on one-to-one preparation in critical thinking, problem solving and the writing task, with regular use of timed practice, mock papers and targeted review. I’ve also worked with students aiming for PPE, Economics and Human Sciences, so the sessions are tailored to the kind of thinking those courses expect. It also improves written work.

Tutoring Approach

I usually begin by seeing how a student approaches the paper before changing anything. From there, we work on method: how to read quickly without missing the point, how to sort strong answers from tempting wrong ones, and how to write something concise when time is tight. I use short drills, full paper walkthroughs and timed sections rather than endless theory, because TARA tends to improve most when students practise making good decisions under pressure. This improves timing in tests.
