Tutoring Experience

I completed the IB Diploma and have since tutored a range of SL and HL students in Chemistry, Biology and Maths. We met regularly to tackle challenging areas and I guided them through structured revision using past papers. My students saw clear improvements in their predicted grades and felt much more confident going into their final exams. I also supported IA planning and lab reports, drawing on my own strong results and first-hand experience of the course.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are discussion-based and practical. I like to see how a student approaches a question before stepping in, so I can understand their thinking. If something isn’t clicking, I’ll reframe it with diagrams, everyday examples or by breaking it into smaller steps. Alongside this, we set clear goals for each session and track progress over time, using IB-style questions and mark schemes so students get used to the wording and structure examiners expect.
