Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught GCSE and IGCSE Maths and Physics alongside both subjects at A-Level, helping students achieve A*s and grade 9s. My support covers understanding course content, working through calculations and preparing for exams. I help students identify which information matters in a question and how to use it, then review their working to find errors. Across both subjects, I focus on the steps students find difficult and give them practice that requires them to choose and apply a method.

Tutoring Approach

Bring a question you couldn’t finish and we’ll work out what stopped you. We might need to revisit some algebra, draw a diagram or unpack the wording before starting the calculation. I explain my choices as we work through an example, then ask you to solve another problem. In Physics, we connect equations to what is happening; in Maths, we look at why each step is valid. We also practise showing enough working for the marks available and checking whether the final answer is reasonable.
