Tutoring Experience

I have several years of experience supporting secondary students in science, with particular strength in Biology and Chemistry. My teaching includes explaining difficult concepts, reviewing coursework and helping students prepare for assessments through targeted questions and structured revision. I also teach IB Economics SL/HL, supporting theory, diagrams, exam strategy, written analysis and timing. My wider mentoring has strengthened my communication, pacing and ability to adapt explanations.

Tutoring Approach

I usually begin with a question or short task so I can see exactly where understanding breaks down. In Biology and Chemistry, I use diagrams, examples and exam-style questions to connect ideas and improve scientific accuracy and data interpretation skills. Economics lessons focus on theory, diagrams, application and structured evaluation. After explaining a concept, I ask the student to tackle a similar problem independently, then use their working to decide what needs revisiting before moving on.
