Tutoring Experience

I have taught high-school Maths and Physics in both classroom and online settings, supporting students across IB and A-Level courses. My experience includes IB Maths AA SL/HL, IB Physics SL/HL, A-Level Maths and A-Level Physics, with lessons covering concept development, problem-solving, timed work, feedback and examination preparation. I regularly use past papers to identify recurring gaps, improve working methods and help students become more accurate when handling multi-step questions.

Tutoring Approach

I focus first on whether the student understands why a method works. In Maths, I break harder problems into smaller steps, then move from worked examples to independent questions. In Physics, I connect equations to the physical idea before applying them to calculations and exam problems. Past-paper practice comes once the foundations are secure, with close attention to method, units, accuracy, exam technique and the reasoning needed to tackle unfamiliar questions without memorised solutions.
