I'm a final year DPhil student at the University of Oxford, studying Experimental Psychology. My research investigates language acquisition and reading development. I have an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and took undergraduate advanced options in Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Developmental Disorders and Neuropsychology.

Tutoring Experience

I currently teach tutorials for Development Science (a core module of Experimental Psychology and PPL) at Somerville, St Edmund Hall and Corpus Christi colleges, Oxford University.

I have helped students from UK state schools successfully prepare for Oxford entrance interviews.

Tutoring Approach

For A Level tutoring, I focus both on learning the syllabus and understanding the marking criteria. My tutoring is personalised to the needs of each student. I’ll set short tasks centred around consolidating learning and homing in on specific skills needed to write an exam response.

For university admissions, I will help interview preparation through both formal and informal meetings. These allow me to learn my student’s specific interests within their subject, and to give feedback on their interview performance. I can also provide criticism on personal statements and, where relevant, answer questions on the Oxbridge admissions process.

For university tutoring, my tutorials are a space to develop ideas and higher-level thinking. As well as supporting learning of key materials, I focus on critical analysis, statistics, essay writing, and exam technique. My aim is to ‘demystify’ the idea of a first class essay and enable my students to produce work of the highest quality.
