Having over 20 years of teaching experience, I specialize in guiding students through rigorous curricula in subjects such as IB Biology (SL/HL), AP Biology, IGCSE Biology, IB ESS, and AP ESS. My extensive background includes supervising for IB Internal Assessments and Extended Essays, where I provide detailed guidance to support students in developing strong research skills and scientific inquiry. Tutoring Approach

I begin with a brief presentation to introduce myself and establish a welcoming environment. I take the time to outline the basics of the IB curriculum, particularly in relation to Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies, as many students benefit from a clear understanding of what the program entails. Since different schools often cover topics in varying orders and with unique approaches, I ask students about their current lesson sequence to align our sessions with what they’re learning in class. This helps create continuity and reinforces what they are being taught. I also inquire about the student’s existing knowledge, which allows me to gauge their understanding and pinpoint any areas that need improvement.

My approach emphasizes active participation, where students complete questions that I provide to ensure they are grasping key concepts. I closely monitor their responses to make sure they are truly understanding each topic before moving forward. If a student encounters challenges, we focus on those areas until they feel confident.
