Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught IB English A Literature and IB History at both SL and HL, as well as IB TOK and A-Level English Literature, over the past four years. My work includes Paper 1 and Paper 2 preparation, HL Essay guidance and detailed feedback on History essays using markscheme language. I’ve also supported TOK exhibitions and essays, helping students refine claims and counterclaims clearly. Many of my students have been preparing for final IB exams or competitive UK university entry.

Tutoring Approach

In English and History, we focus on close analysis and building well-structured, analytical paragraphs rather than general commentary. I teach students how to integrate quotations smoothly, evaluate interpretations and write under timed conditions. For TOK, I work carefully through real-life situations, knowledge questions and balanced argument. Lessons are calm but rigorous, with detailed written feedback so students understand exactly how to move from a 5 to a 6 or 7.
