I teach IB Maths AA and Physics at SL and HL in English or Spanish. I achieved 43/45 in the IB, with 7s in both subjects at HL, and have helped students achieve 7s. My lessons connect an intuitive explanation with the formal steps needed in an exam answer. I prepare exercises around each student’s gaps and use IB past papers to work on accuracy, timing and clear reasoning.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught IB Maths AA and Physics at SL and HL, helping students achieve 7s through individual support with concepts, homework and exam preparation. I prepare explanations and exam exercises before lessons, adjusting the difficulty to each student’s understanding. My background in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Barcelona supports this work. I also bring experience tutoring English, with lessons available in either English or Spanish to suit how students prefer to learn.

Tutoring Approach

Understanding a worked solution is one thing; knowing how to start on your own is another. I explain the idea intuitively first, then show how it becomes a formal method. You try a question independently and we discuss any mistakes in the working or alternative routes. Past papers help us practise timing and see how marks are awarded for working and explanations. I choose follow-up exercises for the particular gaps we find, so practice between lessons has a clear purpose and builds on what we learnt.
