I hold a PhD in Economics from Manchester and an MA in Economics from Warwick, and currently lecture at Imperial College London and the Open University. Tutoring Experience

I have 30+ years of teaching experience across schools, universities and private tuition, including 20 years online. I currently lecture at Imperial College London and work as an Associate Lecturer with the Open University, alongside private tutoring and examining, with course and assessment design. My teaching covers IB, A-Level and GCSE/IGCSE Economics and Business, GCSE/IGCSE/A-Level Maths and GCSE English. I also hold a PGCE and CELTA, with extensive experience supporting varied learning needs.

Tutoring Approach

I adapt lessons around the student’s level, goals and preferred way of learning rather than following one fixed script. In Economics and Business, I focus on theory, diagrams, application, evaluation and well-structured exam responses. Maths sessions build from clear methods into independent problem-solving, while English lessons develop comprehension, analysis, and writing. I use questioning, short assessments, exam pacing and targeted feedback to identify gaps and adjust the lesson as we go.
