Qualified Online Tutor | IB Diploma Programme

I tutor IB Maths AA, Chemistry and Economics at SL/HL, alongside GCSE and IGCSE Maths, Chemistry and Economics. I achieved IB 7s in Chemistry, Economics and Physics. My lessons start with your understanding of a topic, so we can work on the parts that need attention. I use guiding questions and exam practice to help you choose methods, work accurately and manage your time.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve supported students in IB Maths AA, Chemistry and Economics at SL/HL, as well as GCSE and IGCSE Maths, Chemistry and Economics. I focus on helping students work through difficult topics, breaking explanations into smaller steps and trying another approach when an idea is unclear. I draw on my IB background, including 7s in Chemistry, Economics and Physics, to support revision and exam preparation. I help students identify mistakes in their reasoning and explain how to correct them.

Tutoring Approach

Before I explain anything, I ask you to talk me through what you know. Your answer helps us decide where to spend our time. I use guiding questions to help you work out the next step, then try a different explanation if you’re still stuck. In Maths and Chemistry, we practise accurate calculations and choosing a method. In Economics, we work on explaining the links in an argument. Exam questions bring these skills together, with attention to timing and checking answers and units before moving on.
