Tutoring Experience

I have been engaged in tutoring for the past four years.

My students have ranged from adults to young individuals and children, encompassing both Italian and Biology as subjects.

Initially, I began with teaching Italian, but during my second year at university, I expanded my teaching repertoire to include Biology and various medical subjects within my field of study, such as Cardiovascular Sciences, Respiratory Sciences, Genetics, Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, Physiology, Neuroscience, and topics like Digestive and Renal systems, to name just a few. My teaching approach emphasizes a strong grasp of the subject matter and comprehensive understanding.

Over time, I've had the privilege of witnessing many initially timid or struggling students, especially young learners, gradually gain confidence as they deepened their understanding of the subjects and received the necessary support they needed to succeed.

Tutoring Approach

I typically prepare my lessons in advance, but during online sessions, my focus shifts to addressing the topics the student finds most challenging, even if they aren't part of the planned lesson.

In these online sessions, once I've identified the student's struggles with the subject, I make an effort to pinpoint the specific issues or areas they want to improve. Together with the student, we delve into these topics, and I provide examples and exercises while actively engaging with them to ensure a thorough understanding. Sometimes, we revisit these topics multiple times to solidify their grasp.

My teaching approach draws from my own experience in studying at the university and in high school. I adapt my explanation methods based on the specific topics and the individual student, recognizing that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work for every learning situation.
