Tutoring Experience

I have four years of classroom experience teaching Chemistry and more than six years of online tutoring experience. I currently teach at a British international school, where my Head of Year role also involves supporting students’ academic progress and wider development. I have prepared learners for GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and IB Chemistry, and have also taught Biology, Maths and Physics at secondary level. My work includes structured revision, examination practice and detailed feedback.

Tutoring Approach

Chemistry becomes much easier when students understand why a method works rather than trying to memorise every step. I break difficult topics into smaller parts, check for misconceptions and adjust my explanations until the idea makes sense. Lessons combine clear teaching with questions chosen for the student’s course and current level. I also use unfamiliar problems and examination-style tasks under timed conditions to develop careful reasoning, accurate working and stronger exam technique.
