Tutoring Experience

I’ve spent the past 4 years honing my skills as a dedicated Physics tutor, delivering over 200 hours of individualized lessons to IB and IGCSE students in Singapore. My teaching portfolio is diversified, ranging from helping students grasp the fundamentals of Physics to preparing them for their finals. The sessions are carefully curated to improve their problem-solving abilities and enhance their scientific literacy. I have also tutored students preparing for international Olympiads, achieving commendable results.

With my systematic approach, students have consistently scored higher grades, thanks to the improved understanding and ability to tackle complex Physics problems. I believe in building an open and respectful rapport with my students and their parents, facilitating effective communication and progress tracking.

Tutoring Approach

Physics is not about cramming information but about understanding the principles and applying them. Hence, my tutoring approach is always tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. For exam preparations, I provide in-depth insights into the topics and follow up with rigorous question drills from past papers. I emphasize the importance of understanding the 'why' behind every principle, nurturing their critical thinking and analytical skills.

For the Internal Assessments, I guide students to identify suitable research topics, while providing feedback on their experimental design, data collection, and data analysis. This approach ensures that the students are not merely following instructions, but actually comprehending and learning from their mistakes and successes. Additionally, I maintain a flexible approach, ready to shift gears based on the student's learning style and progress.
