Tutoring Experience

I have taught Physics for 36 years, supporting students in IB Physics SL/HL, A-Level Physics, IGCSE Physics, GCSE Physics and AP Physics. As an IBDP Physics examiner, I also guide students with IA work, Extended Essays and exam technique. I cover uncertainty, graph analysis, practical skills, data-based questions and mark scheme interpretation in detail. I’m used to both online and face-to-face lessons, and I have worked with students aiming to strengthen foundations as well as those preparing for top grades.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are structured around the syllabus the student is following, with plenty of worked examples, diagrams and past-paper questions. I focus on making students explain each step, not just copy a method, so gaps in understanding show up quickly. For IB students, I pay close attention to IA criteria, data analysis, command terms and how mark schemes reward reasoning.
