Tutoring Experience

My tutoring has centred on Economics, Government & Politics, Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level. Alongside private lessons, I also worked as a teaching assistant supporting neurodivergent students, adapting materials, pace and communication to their needs. My background in sales and account management has made me attentive to how people respond to explanations. I keep students and parents informed about progress, with direct updates on what we’ve covered and what needs more practice.

Tutoring Approach

Some students want the bigger picture first; others prefer to start with one manageable step. I find out which helps, then break topics down and check their understanding as we go. In Economics and Politics, we connect theory to current events so the ideas have a context. Regular recall and past-paper questions show what a student can use independently. If an explanation isn’t working, I replace it, adjusting the pace or materials and making sure students know what we will be focusing on next.
