I’m a secondary science teacher with international teaching experience and a master’s in Advanced Teaching in STEM, focused on inquiry learning. I tutor Physics, Chemistry and Biology for GCSE, IGCSE, AP and IB MYP, plus AP Calculus AB/BC and Precalculus. Tutoring Experience

My experience combines secondary science teaching with in-person tutoring, including work in an international school setting. Teaching in different environments has helped me recognise students can need quite different explanations of the same topic. My education degree covered Physics, Chemistry and Maths, while my master’s focused on advanced STEM teaching and inquiry learning. I draw on that training to identify gaps in understanding and help students make sense of difficult topics.

Tutoring Approach

When a topic feels complicated, I strip it back to the simplest idea the student understands. We build from there, adding one piece at a time and checking that every step makes sense before moving on. I want students to explain why something happens, as well as how to reach an answer. My focus on inquiry learning means making room for their questions and exploring the reasoning behind a concept. In science and maths alike, I adjust the explanation to where the student is getting stuck.
