Tutoring Experience

I have taught Biology students across IB, A-Level and GCSE/IGCSE, supporting them with difficult concepts, revision and exam preparation. My Biomedical Sciences background includes laboratory research, scientific literature and critical analysis, which I use when teaching areas such as genetics, cell biology and physiology, interpreting experimental data and study design. I also support AP Biology and IB Psychology SL/HL, including research methods, study evaluation, essay structure and written responses.

Tutoring Approach

I first identify whether marks are lost through weak knowledge, poor application or exam technique. In Biology, I use diagrams, retrieval practice and exam questions to connect processes and improve scientific precision. For IB and AP, I focus on data analysis and unfamiliar contexts. In Psychology, lessons cover research methods, evaluation and essay structure. I use mark schemes, targeted questions, error review and timing checks to strengthen weak areas and improve independent exam responses.
