Jay

Mr Jay made something that felt impossible a reality in only a few lessons. I was struggling a lot with math this year but in only a few lessons with Mr. Jay, I made a lot of progress. He is passionate about math and that makes learning with him fun and digestable. I never feel like I am being judged, even when I take a whole 5 minutes to calculate something that is considered simple and easy. He somehow makes complicated topics very easy to understand. I recommend Mr Jay to anyone who is looking for a tutor who will go at your pace, explain and answer any of your questions (even the ones you think are embarrassing to ask), and break down concepts in a fun and personalised way.

Jay is a GREAT tutor!! Probably the best I have ever had if I am being honest. He is very patient and helpful both inside and outside of lesson time, very knowledgeable, and reassuring in the fact that it is okay to mess up. I feel confident asking him questions or solving problems with him, regardless of whether I make a mistake or not! I would totally recommend him, especially for students studying IB Math AA HL!

Our daughter Sophia has been working with Jay to prepare for her IB HL Math exam, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. He's doing a terrific job helping her build confidence and master the material she needs for the exam. What really impressed us was when Jay went above and beyond by reviewing and providing detailed feedback on Sophia's Math IA during his own free time. His insights were incredibly valuable and helped her strengthen her work significantly. He is a very dedicated teacher who is clearly passionate about his subject. He is very good at explaining things in a personalized manner that suit the knowledge level of the student making learning comprehensible even to those who may have trouble grasping certain concepts. And in general, is a pleasant teacher that nurtures appreciation for the subject within those he teaches. I have seen myself greatly improve in A-Level Maths despite my troubles with it before and I totally recommend him to anyone else who needs the extra push :D
