Tutoring Experience

I have four years of experience tutoring IB Physics to students from diverse backgrounds. My students consistently achieve top marks, including two who earned 7/7 in Physics, aided by my structured approach using presentations, topic-wise exercises, and past paper practice. I also provide tailored guidance for internal assessments, drawing on my own IA success (24/25).

My lessons prioritise conceptual clarity, building on foundational physics principles and progressing to advanced problem-solving. For example, I recently supported a Year 6 student in understanding electromagnetism for their science project, leveraging my engineering expertise to simplify Hyperloop technology. Additionally, I’ve led outreach initiatives at university, training peers to tutor Maths and Physics, and promoting STEM education through workshops and after-school sessions.

Tutoring Approach

I teach IB Physics using interactive tools like Zoom and iPad, integrating visual methods such as diagrams, props, and real-world examples. Lessons focus on deepening conceptual understanding, enabling students to apply theory across different scenarios. For instance, I use practical demonstrations to explain resistance in electricity, engaging students with real wires to connect theory with application.

For IB-specific tutoring, I use PowerPoint presentations to break down complex topics, supported by worksheets and topic-wise past paper practice to reinforce understanding. As exams approach, sessions shift to intensive past paper revision, ensuring students are prepared for the exam format. My approach fosters both academic improvement and an appreciation for Physics, tying theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering applications.
