Personally Interviewed

Our tutors go through a rigorous selection process, having been interviewed to assess their teaching skills and subject knowledge. They have extensive tutoring experience with a track record of success, helping students achieve their academic goals.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience as a Biology teaching assistant at a tutoring centre, supporting I/GCSE and A-level classes. My work included marking papers, invigilating mock exams and assisting with practical lessons. I’ve also tutored GCSE and A-level students in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Working on both classroom activities and assessments has given me experience of spotting difficulties during lessons and in students’ written and practical work. I use these observations to target revision.

Tutoring Approach

I start with a textbook explanation and supporting resources, then give you time to think it through and make your own notes. We’ll check what you’ve understood before practicing exam questions. If a step is unclear, we can pause and go back over it. Some topics will need more explanation; others focus on applying what you know. I adjust classes to suit each students needs.
