Hello, my name is Kirsty and I am a dedicated and energetic teacher of English Language and Literature. Through my classes, I aim to remove the barriers that students often face when studying English by making classes simple, meaningful and relatable for the student. I have been teaching now for just over 12 years and I have been an examiner in both English Language and Literature for 10 of these. I encourage students to explore texts by thinking outside the box and relating situations in the text to something more understandable. All my lessons are tailored towards the individual and I work closely with parents and guardians to ensure that the student is benefitting full from the classes.

Tutoring Experience

Since embarking on my teaching journey, I've concurrently tutored private students, imparting knowledge in English and occasionally history, catering to learners of various ages. While initially covering a broad spectrum, my focus has gradually shifted towards the meticulous delivery of iGCSE courses in both English Language and Literature. However, my expertise extends beyond this curriculum, encompassing tutoring services for IB, GCSE, IELTS, and SATs examinations.

With a solid foundation in teaching, I've honed my skills in tailoring sessions to suit individual learning styles, ensuring comprehension and engagement. In recent years, I've dedicated myself to refining the delivery of iGCSE content, leveraging my experience to provide comprehensive support for students navigating these challenging subjects. Yet, my tutoring repertoire remains diverse, offering guidance and preparation for an array of academic assessments, including the rigorous standards of IB, GCSE, IELTS, and SATs examinations.
