Stanford University - Bachelor of Economics and Statistics
I am a student at Stanford University. During my secondary education, I established a tutoring service and have experienced being tutored. I am keen to witness students enhance their skills and grow more assured in both themselves and their capabilities. I can offer assistance with SAT preparation, advanced mathematics, history, or general university-level writing.

Personally Interviewed
Our tutors go through a rigorous selection process, having been interviewed to assess their teaching skills and subject knowledge. They have extensive tutoring experience with a track record of success, helping students achieve their academic goals.
Tutoring Experience
As the founder and organizer of the tutoring program, I took a hands-on approach to ensuring its success. I was in a team of passionate and knowledgeable tutors who were not only experts in their respective subjects but also had the ability to connect with the students on a personal level.
Our program was designed to provide a safe and inclusive environment for students to learn and grow academically. We knew that the transition from middle school to high school can be daunting, and we wanted to make sure that the underclassmen had all the support they needed to thrive.
Our tutoring sessions were tailored to each student's individual needs, whether they needed help with specific assignments or wanted to develop better study habits. We also offered guidance on time management and organization, two critical skills for success in high school and beyond.
In addition to academic support, we also helped prepare our students for the college application process. We offered workshops on writing personal statements, researching colleges, and preparing for standardized tests. We wanted to make sure that our students had all the resources they needed to pursue higher education.
Our tutoring program was a tremendous success. We saw significant improvements in our students' grades and study habits, and we were proud to see them grow into confident and capable learners. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to know that we made a positive impact on our peers' lives and helped set them up for success in the future.
Tutoring Approach
For the admission tests, repetition is key and understanding the kinds of questions the college board likes to use.
For the math section there are a set of tricks and patterns that many of the more difficult questions use that can be learned and the student can learn an algorithmic approach to all SAT math questions.
The English section is a little less algorithmic and the tutoring would focus more on getting a feel for the style of the question and learning how to use the multiple-choice format to their advantage, again with repetition being key.
Other subjects vary much more than the admissions tests and require a more ad hoc tutoring approach.
