Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught IB Maths AI SL, Biology SL, Psychology SL/HL and Sports and Health Science SL/HL, helping students achieve 7s. My experience also includes English tuition and support for secondary school pupils. Working with different abilities has taught me to spot when an explanation needs changing rather than just repeating it. I help students revisit difficult content, practise exam questions and organise their revision, adapting the pace to what they can explain and do for themselves.

Tutoring Approach

I like to hear your explanation first even if you’re not sure it’s right. That tells me more than a correct answer on its own. We break a difficult idea into smaller parts, work through an example and then try a question together. In Biology and Sports Science, we follow how a process works; in Psychology, we discuss the reasoning behind an answer. For Maths AI, I ask you to explain each step and check the logic. As lessons progress, I give fewer prompts so you get used to working things out for yourself.
