Tutoring Experience

For over two years, I've tutored students, equipping them for University interviews and A-Levels. In total, I've mentored more than 50 students, clocking in over 100 tutoring hours. My experience includes marking numerous mock HAT exams, positioning me ideally to prepare students for the HAT.

My expertise spans across International Relations, Law, and Politics.

I've dedicated 10 hours to mentoring a HAA candidate and spearheaded an intensive day-long Admissions Test Course for Cambridge HAA in 2019. Furthermore, I organized a summer school in July 2019 for 14-16 year-olds worldwide, preparing them for the transition from GCSE to A-Level.

I've also garnered over 60 hours of experience guiding University-level students in essay writing.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring replicates the Oxford and Cambridge model of 1-2 hour sessions focusing on discussing essays written by students.

I work through chapters with students to cement understanding and test this through essays.

I like to pose questions to allow students to demonstrate their understanding of topics covered in addition to testing how the students argue based on the information they learn. It’s a challenging format but one that builds students’ confidence and reasoning ability.
