Tutoring Experience

I've tutored IB students in Maths AA SL, Biology SL, English B SL/HL, Spanish A Literature SL/HL, Business Management SL/HL and TOK. My experience includes helping students work through coursework and prepare for assessments, explaining difficult concepts in different ways when needed. I offer guidance on IA structure, the Extended Essay and exam technique. Support can involve discussing a draft, reviewing an attempted answer or working through a topic before trying questions together.

Tutoring Approach

A calculation, a literary analysis and a business case need different kinds of answers. We begin with the task: what are you being asked to show? I'll help you unpack a difficult concept, then we put it to use in a question or a paragraph. For coursework, we discuss the structure and whether your evidence supports your point. In TOK, we explore why a claim might hold in one situation but not another. You do the writing and reasoning with feedback on what needs developing or correcting.
