Tutoring Experience

I have taught students from foundational Maths through to advanced secondary courses, including IB Maths AA and AI at SL/HL, A-Level, GCSE/IGCSE, SAT Maths and AP Calculus AB/BC. My work covers school assessments, final examinations and aptitude tests, with support in algebra, functions, calculus, statistics and mixed-topic revision. I have also prepared learners for selective-school and US-style admissions tests, adapting questions and pacing to each syllabus, exam goal and current level.

Tutoring Approach

I map each topic into a small set of core ideas, then match those ideas to the question types students are likely to face. Rather than keeping topics separate, I deliberately mix algebra, functions, calculus and statistics so students learn when to draw on each method. For IB and A-Level, this builds whole-syllabus fluency; SAT and AP sessions add timing and efficient routes. On harder problems, I think aloud first, then have the student test their own approach, explain why it works and refine it.
