Tutoring Experience

I’ve spent over four years tutoring GCSE Maths, GCSE Physics and A-Level Maths, working with more than 200 students both online and in small group settings. I previously worked as an Academic Tutor with a charity supporting learners preparing for English and Maths exams, where I also assessed Speaking and Listening for Functional Skills English Level 2. In another role as a Maths Instructor, I designed and delivered a structured maths course aimed at helping younger students engage with the subject through practical examples.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons usually begin with a short quiz or recap to see how well previous topics have stuck. From there we focus on the areas causing the most difficulty, working through exam-style questions step by step. I encourage students to attempt problems themselves first so I can see how they are thinking, then we refine the method together. I keep track of progress across topics so we revisit anything that needs strengthening before moving on to new material.
