Tutoring Experience
My professional tutoring experience began in the second year of my undergraduate year, when I worked for a charity organization. I taught groups of 1-4 secondary maths, helping pupils falling behind to achieve a pass grade.
I have taught abroad twice in my life, once in India and once in Nepal, giving me experience of teaching a classroom and the challenge of overcoming language barriers. I have most recently been employed by a company, a critical international development learning platform, as a mentor helping students from around the globe progress through our course in preparation for volunteering overseas.
Before finishing my postgraduate studies, I completed a training course in tutoring undergraduate students at Oxford, learning how to critically mark essays. I was also a peer supporter for my college and helped new students with wellbeing and study problems.
