Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught GCSE and IGCSE Maths and Physics, as well as A-Level Maths, Physics and Economics. My students have achieved A*s and grades 8 and 9. In one-to-one lessons, I’ve worked with pupils who need to revisit the basics and those who want demanding problems. This has involved breaking down calculations, correcting misunderstandings and developing exam technique. For students already secure on the content, I focus on applying it to unfamiliar questions and explaining their reasoning.

Tutoring Approach

A wrong answer is often the best place to start. I check through your working to find the particular idea or step that needs attention, then choose questions that let you practise it. In Maths, repeated practice helps methods become familiar. In Physics, we discuss what is happening before deciding which equations to use. For Economics, we work on linking an explanation to the question. Once a topic feels more secure, we try harder exam questions and review how you reached each answer.
