I am a PhD candidate in Linguistics at Edinburgh University, specializing in language acquisition via artificial intelligence. I hold a Bachelor’s in Classics and a Master’s in Ancient Languages from Oxford University. As an educator, my main objective is to maximize my students' potential. I accomplish this by delivering engaging lessons that captivate student's interest and encourage them to meet their goals. Tutoring Experience

I have over six years of private tutoring experience, specializing in preparing students for their A-Levels, GCSE, IGCSE, 11+, 13+, and International Baccalaureate exams. Additionally, I have served as an assistant junior professor in History at Edinburgh University and worked as a researcher with the British Museum. Over the years, I have accumulated more than 15,000 hours of tutoring experience, catering to both UK and overseas students across various levels and subjects.

I hold a Bachelor's in Classics and a Master’s in History/Ancient Languages from Oxford University, and am currently pursuing a PhD in Linguistics and AI at Edinburgh University. In 2020, I was awarded the ‘Ailie Donald Scholarship’ for my research in Historical Linguistics in collaboration with The British Museum. I also held the position of Associate Lecturer at the School of Informatics at Edinburgh University.

In my teaching, I have successfully assisted students of diverse abilities, including those preparing for entrance exams and homeschooling. Many of my students have attained top grades and secured places in prestigious schools. I have a particular knack for working with underperforming students, helping them to realize their potential through one-on-one instruction that emphasizes critical thinking and active engagement with the material. My approach as a tutor not only fosters a deep understanding and love for the subject but also inspires students to become lifelong learners.

Tutoring Approach

I make sure each lesson is specially designed for each student's needs, helping them in areas they find tough or are really interested in. I pay attention to how each student learns best, and change how I teach to fit that.

My lessons are interactive and fun, using different ways of teaching like pictures, hands-on activities, or examples from real life. This helps students understand better and stay interested. My main aim is to make students love learning and give them the skills and confidence they need for school and more.
