Tutoring Experience

I have approximately 13 years of extensive experience teaching both face-to-face and online. Currently, I teach IBDP Economics (HL & SL), Cambridge AS/AL Economics, Oxford Cambridge and RSA (OCR) GCSE Economics, Cambridge IGCSE Business and Economics, Pearson GCSE Economics, and Pearson International Advanced Level Economics and Business. I also serve as an examiner and assessment specialist for GCSE Economics with Oxford Cambridge and RSA (OCR), Cambridge IGCSE Economics, Cambridge Advanced Level Economics, and both GCSE Economics and A Level Business for Pearson.

In addition to these roles, I have taught Economics and Research and Communication Skills in the Northern Consortium United Kingdom International Foundation Year Programme (NCUK/IFYP), GCSE Mathematics (9-1) under Pearson, and Business Fundamentals in the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching is centered on the belief that every student has the potential to excel when provided with the right environment and tools. I strive to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and active engagement. My teaching method emphasizes hands-on experiences, research-driven learning, and problem-solving. I guide students through progressively complex concepts in Economics and Business Studies by breaking them down with practical examples. Active learning is at the core of my methodology, encouraging student participation in discussions, real-world application of knowledge, and collaborative project work. Adaptability and personalization are key aspects of my approach, as I employ diverse teaching methods, such as case studies, interactive lectures, and multimedia resources, to meet the varied needs of my students.

As an experienced examiner and assessment specialist for various examination boards, I understand the critical role that assessment and feedback play in student development. I believe assessments should not only measure learning but also motivate and guide students toward improvement. I provide constructive feedback and work closely with students to identify areas for growth, teaching them how to effectively respond to examination questions and meet course objectives. My commitment to continuous professional development ensures that I stay updated with the latest educational practices, enabling me to deliver the highest quality education and support my students in achieving academic success.
