Tutoring Experience

I have tutored IB students across different schools and curricula, adapting explanations and pacing to suit learning styles. My teaching covers Biology, Chemistry, Maths AA, Economics, French B and English Literature, with support ranging from difficult content and essay structure to calculations, language practice, exam strategy and exam preparation. I use practice questions and past papers to identify recurring gaps, then I focus lessons on skills and topics that will have the greatest impact.

Tutoring Approach

I usually start with practice questions rather than reteaching an entire topic. Students' answers show whether the issue is knowledge, method or exam technique so we can now focus on what needs work. Biology and Chemistry use diagrams, data and exam questions; Maths focuses on method and reasoning; Economics on analysis and evaluation; French and English on comprehension and written responses. I then use a second question to check that the student can apply the idea independently.
