Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught A-Level Biology and Chemistry and supported students preparing for the UCAT. My students have achieved A*s, with lessons covering subject knowledge, revision and exam technique. I create tailored resources to make difficult content easier to work through, then use questions to check how well students can apply it. My wider tutoring experience has involved supporting learners with different needs, adapting explanations and allowing them time to work through unfamiliar ideas.

Tutoring Approach

Tell me which part of a topic feels confusing and we’ll work through it together. I explain the idea first, then use a question to see whether you can apply it. In Biology and Chemistry, we look at how to turn what you know into an answer that addresses the question. For UCAT preparation, we discuss your approaches to practice questions and how to use your time. I adapt resources as we go, so revision between lessons focuses on the concepts and question types that still need attention.
