Tutoring Approach

LNAT Tuition Approach

Our first lesson would go over the entire structure of the LNAT and general techniques you can use to manage your time. We also would cover different strategies to improving your score on section A and an ideal structure for the essay at section B.

For subsequent lessons, I typically set an essay each week. During the lesson we would go through the essay, fix any mistakes and discuss the overarching political and idealogical issues that the question raises. We also would discuss current affairs and the top news stories from that week.

University applications Approach

We will go through an ideal structure for your personal statement and apply your experience to the structure. For any areas that lack experience, I will recommend books to read/ webinars to attend to build up that experience.

We can discuss the subject that you are applying to and I can pinpoint your key motivations, interests and anecdotes which you should mention in your personal statement.

English Literature

We will go through the exam syllabus and create a formulaic list of objectives which should be met in each essay (e.g using quotes, referring to the question and mentioning context.) Depending on where you need help, lessons can either involve working on your understanding of the text through discussion or on essay technique – or both!
