Qualified Online Tutor | BEng Mechanical Engineering

I tutor A-Level Maths and Chemistry, alongside GCSE and IGCSE Maths, Further Maths and the sciences. My background is in Mechanical Engineering, with three A*s at A-Level and nine GCSE 9s, including Further Maths. I am patient when a method needs another explanation, and I often use worked examples to show how a complicated question can become a series of manageable steps.

Tutoring Experience

I support students in A-Level Maths and Chemistry, plus GCSE and IGCSE Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. My tutoring experience includes explaining difficult topics, working through questions in more detail and sharing study methods that have worked for me. I help students unpack what a question is asking, choose their approach and understand each step of their answer. We also discuss how to organise revision, with time to revisit anything that still needs a different explanation.

Tutoring Approach

Bring the topics you're finding difficult, and we will talk through them before attempting questions. If a method is unfamiliar, I'll demonstrate a worked example and explain why each step is needed. Then it is your turn to try at your chosen pace. We look at what you did well as closely as where you went wrong, so you know which parts to keep using. I split larger topics into smaller sections and leave room for questions throughout; you don't have to wait until the end to say something hasn't made sense.
