Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught IGCSE Biology as well as GCSE maths and science, working with students who needed help strengthening core topics before exams. I also spent time tutoring through the Generating Genius STEM programme, working 1:1 with students online. This involved regular Zoom sessions focused on problem areas and exam preparation. I’ve also supported Year 10 pupils with maths and science while working with students at my former prep school, helping them prepare more confidently for their exams.

Tutoring Approach

I usually begin by identifying the topics a student finds most difficult, rather than trying to rush through the whole syllabus. Lessons are interactive and students are encouraged to talk through their reasoning so I can see how they are thinking. We then work through practice questions together, as this is the best way to check understanding and improve exam technique. At the end of each session we review key ideas so they are reinforced and easier to remember in exams and future assessments.
