Tutoring Experience

I have taught A-Level Maths and Physics through online tuition, and private lessons and a sixth-form peer-mentoring programme. My work has included explaining difficult mathematical methods, supporting mechanics and electricity topics, and preparing students for timed papers. I also tutor A-Level Philosophy, helping students analyse arguments, compare objections and organise essays. I start by finding the exact point where a topic stops making sense. In Maths, we rebuild the method from the fundamentals and practise choosing the right approach under exam conditions. Physics lessons connect equations to the physical situation before moving into multi-step problems. For Philosophy, we break arguments into premises and conclusions, test objections and plan essays. I use mocks, past papers and timed tasks, adjusting the level of support as the student becomes more independent.
