Tutoring Experience

As a dyslexic learner myself, I have honed strategies to support students who struggle with retaining information or need concepts broken into manageable steps. I began tutoring Biology during my PGCE in Manchester, qualifying as a teacher in 2011 with NQT status. Over the past 13 years, I’ve guided students with varying abilities, helping them feel confident and succeed in A-Level Biology.

I’ve worked extensively with students tackling challenging areas of the A-Level Biology syllabus, such as cellular processes and biochemical pathways. I take pride in adapting my approach to different learning needs and enabling students to achieve their academic goals.

With years of experience teaching A-Level Biology, I can identify areas where students need targeted support, offering tailored scaffolding to strengthen their understanding of complex topics like genetics, human physiology, and ecology. I encourage curiosity and provide practical guidance on lab work and exam techniques.
